  • Trouble-free performance

Drinking-Water RO Plant

A.P.Engineers supplied many drinking water RO plants for garments, schools, company canteen, etc. our drinking water RO plant was designed with semi-automation and full automation with micro-processors controlled panel board. Our RO plant is controlled by microprocessors with float for raw water tank empty and treated water tank full, Low-pressure switch & high-pressure switch, conductivity meter, solenoid valve, dosing pump, high-pressure pump, feed pump, cleaning pump, etc.

By our design, the total system is free from operator requirements. It automatically stops with the raw water tank empty and the product water full. Similarly high-pressure pumps, membranes are safe by the low-pressure switch and high pressures witch. This switch keeps a safe high-pressure pump from dry running, avoids membrane damage due to high pressure, pressure rising due to scaling, etc. our solenoid valve flushes the RO plant periodically so that scaling and fouling are avoided.

In our microprocessors controlled panel board display, product TDS, feed pump current, high-pressure pump current, dry run cur-rent, flushing interval, etc are arranged and shown in the display. Our plant is suitable for high TDS (up to 5000TDS) and high scales (2500 ppm of total hardness) water.

Our design is created with membrane manufacturer software and designed with optimal flux, beta factor etc.

Advanced Reverse Osmosis Technology

Engineered with polyamide spiral wound membranes, the RO Plant efficiently diminishes dissolved salts and contaminants, producing ultra-pure water with conductivity below 10 S/cm. The automatic PLC system enables consistent output and minimal manual intervention for hassle-free operation.

Flexible Capacity and Installation Options

With volumes spanning 500 to 10,000 liters per hour, this system caters to varied requirements across industrial, commercial, and institutional environments. Installation is simple due to the skid-mount design and multiple connection types, making it suitable for new setups and retrofits alike.

Multi-Stage Filtration and Purity Assurance

The included pre-treatment stagessand filter, activated carbon filter, and micron cartridgeensure optimal membrane protection and longevity. Dedicated online or manual cleaning systems facilitate routine maintenance, supporting prolonged efficiency and consistent water quality.

FAQs of Drinking Water RO Plant:

Q: How does the Drinking Water RO Plant achieve up to 99% removal of dissolved salts and contaminants?

A: The RO Plant utilizes a reverse osmosis process through polyamide spiral wound membranes, combined with multi-stage filtration (sand, activated carbon, micron cartridge), efficiently filtering out dissolved salts and contaminants for high purity water.

Q: What is the recommended water source for operating this RO plant?

A: This plant is designed to treat both borewell and surface water sources, provided the inlet water conductivity does not exceed 2000 S/cm and the input pressure falls between 1-2.5 kg/cm.

Q: When should chemical cleaning be performed on the RO membranes?

A: Chemical cleaning should be performed either online or manually, based on water quality variations or scheduled maintenance intervals, to prevent membrane fouling and maintain peak performance.

Q: Where can the purified water from this RO plant be stored?

A: Purified water may be stored in optional stainless steel (SS) or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tanks, depending on site preferences and storage requirements.

Q: What is the process flow for water purification in this plant?

A: Raw water first passes through sand and activated carbon filters, followed by micron cartridge filtration. The pre-treated water is then pressurized and routed through the RO membrane, with the output directed to storage and recyclables managed to maximize efficiency.

Q: How can users benefit from the automatic PLC control system in this RO plant?

A: The integrated PLC control system streamlines operation, automates monitoring and regulation of key parameters, reducing manual oversight and enhancing reliability for efficient water purification.
